The compression garment is worn for about 6 weeks. For some patients, small drains may be placed to remove excess blood or fluid. The drains are only used temporarily. Bruising and swelling are the most common side effects. These may be present for a few weeks as the body heals. Patients will be given specific post-procedure instructions.
