Minimally-invasive facelift surgery is available in Beverly Hills

Dr. Dass describes facelift without surgery

From infancy through our 20s, the body is in a growth mode. As part of that process, plenty of collagen, a fibrous protein that makes skin thick, firm, and taut, is created. The face has smooth contours from adequate hydration and volume. As the years pass, we lose facial volume and the body produces less collagen. Skin on the lower half of the face and neck begins to sag. Fat deposits in this portion of the face become more noticeable. Dr. Dennis Dass suggests an alternative to conventional facelift surgery for patients in the Beverly Hills area who want a more youthful appearance without general anesthesia or extended recovery time

The science of minimally-invasive rejuvenation

Traditional facelift surgery removes excess skin, lifts deep tissues, and tightens muscles. It is very effective, but a full face and neck lift requires sutures, and approximately four weeks of downtime. Using the PrecisionTX™ device from CynoSure®, Dr. Dass contours the face and addresses skin laxity, with a minimally-invasive laser technique.

A few tiny incisions are made at inconspicuous points on the face. Dr. Dass inserts a long, thin cannula under the skin. It delivers a controlled dose of laser energy that first heats and breaks up fatty deposits beneath the skin. Then the laser energy is directed upward, toward the dermis. By warming these deep skin layers, the body’s natural healing processes are activated, contracting skin immediately. Improvement continues over the next three to six months, as the body harmlessly eliminates destroyed fat cells, and collagen production increases.

Laser facelift requires only local numbing, and the procedure takes about an hour to complete in our plastic surgery center. There is slight bruising, and you must wear a compression garment for the first week. Then you may return to normal activities.

Is laser facelift right for you?

The best time to consider laser facelift is NOW. Starting early, this procedure, alone or in combination with other skin rejuvenation treatments, can postpone the need for conventional facelift surgery. Laser facelift is ideal for patients with mild to moderate loose skin on:

  • Cheeks
  • Jowls
  • Chin
  • Neck
  • Dr. Dass also uses it to improve contours of the upper lip, lower eyelids, and forehead (as a brow lift).

During an initial consultation, the Doctor examines your skin and listens to your appearance goals. Be assured that your treatment plan is customized – if he feels that your concerns would be better resolved by another procedure or treatment, he will explain those options fully.

At Dennis Dass, M.D. you can count on discreet care delivered with a gentle touch, and results that refresh, restore, and enhance. Call (855) 496-4646 to learn more about a minimally-invasive alternative to facelift surgery, available in Beverly Hills.
