Upper Arm Lift Beverly Hills

Brachioplasty, or upper arm lift, is a surgery designed to improve the contour of the upper arm. Loss of muscle tone and loss of skin elasticity with aging results in loose skin on the upper arms. After weight loss surgery, there is excess skin everywhere on the body including the upper arms. Sagging skin on the arms can be noticeable when the arm is raised, and this can be quite embarrassing.

The type of surgery is dependent on the amount of excess skin present on the upper arms. If you have a small amount of excess skin limited to the upper third of the arm, a limited incision can be hidden in the axilla (armpit). Patients who have undergone weight loss surgery are typically left with excess skin on the entire extent of the upper arm. Massive weight loss patients require a longer incision that extends from the elbow to the axilla. The scar is placed either on the underside of the arm or the inner aspect of the arm. This incision may also extend onto the inframammary scar from a breast lift (mastopexy). Upper arm lift surgery can be done at the same time as breast lift surgery.

Surgery is performed on an outpatient basis. Compression garments are worn for six weeks after surgery, to control the swelling and improve the final contour. Risks of surgery include bleeding, infection, delayed wound healing, fluid collections, blood clots, and scar widening. Brachioplasty scars tend to stay red and thick for several months after surgery before they flatten and the redness disappears. Aggressive scar care therapy will be used to help improve the quality of the scars. Risks are often dependent on your current medical condition. During your consultation, we will discuss your specific risks of surgery.

I have hated my tattoo for years and wanted to get it removed. After a painful experience with a local laser center, I sought out a different provider and found Dr. Dass. He uses the PicoSure laser instead of the traditional Q-switched laser. My first session with him was painless from beginning to end. He numbed the entire area! His staff are caring and warm. I am so lucky I found Dr. Dass!*

So…I was in Los Angeles for a conference this summer and realized that I needed liposuction because I’ve been too busy with work. I decided to have it done while I was out there since Beverly Hills is the plastic surgery capital of the world. I had a consult and immediately booked Smartlipo on my belly and love handles. It was perfect because I had the weekend to recover before flying back home. Its like night and day, I’ve gone down like 4 inches on my waist and the love handles are completely gone. Two thumbs up, way up.*

I had to write a review for Dr Dass, because I absolutely love the results from my breast augmentation . He spent time with me and I didn’t feel rushed. Went with the Sientra implants for my piece of mind. The recovery was not as bad as I thought it was going to be, and he saw me for all of my follow-ups. I highly recommend seeing him.*
