Precision Tx: Minimally invasive facelift through laser skin tightening by Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon.

Who is a candidate?
Great for patients with early signs of facial aging, but are not quite ready for a full facelift. Patients with mild to moderate amount of loose skin and facial jowling will benefit from this procedure. Patients with very loose and heavy skin will still need a traditional facelift.
What areas can be treated?
- Chin and neck skin to improve the jawline
- Cheeks and jowls
- Upper lip
- Lower eyelids
- Forehead to raise the eyebrows
How does it work?
Precision Tx directs the laser energy underneath the skin to heat the dermis without heating the deeper tissue, this causes instant skin contraction. The heat also stimulates new collagen production, so you would see maximal effects after 3-6 months.
How is the procedure performed?
This is an awake office procedure done under local anesthesia. There is a small amount of discomfort while the doctor is anesthetizing the face, which only takes a few minutes. Small incisions (1mm) are made under the chin, under the earlobe, corners of the mouth, and within the hairline, depending on which areas need to be treated. These access points are used for the laser cannula to deliver energy under the skin. The laser will not hurt because the area will already be completely numb. The procedure takes less than one hour to complete. Often the procedure is combined with other procedures, including laser facial resurfacing, dermal fillers, and botox for enhanced facial rejuvenation.
Recovery?
Your face and neck will have minimal bruising and swelling for about a week. You will be given a facial compression garment that will need to be worn continuously for the 1 week, and then maybe worn for 12-16 hours per day for the next week.
